RECEPTIONIST (25-R75)
Bargaining Unit: OPSEU
Status: Full Time
Department: SJHC Administration
Site: St. Joseph's Health Centre
Shifts: Days
Rate of Pay: $24.03 - $28.27 per hour
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary qualifications in a business or administrative field
- Experience in a clerical capacity, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Demonstrated skills and ability to work in a fully computerized environment
- Experience with Meditech applications, in particular the admissions & scheduling modules
- Knowledge of medical terminology is an asset
- Accurate keyboarding skills are essential
- Must be client-focused and possess the ability to interact with a wide variety of clients, visitors and clinicians on a daily basis
- Ability to handle multiple tasks
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Data entry skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated regular attendance at work
CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT
This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
Offers of employment made to external candidates are conditional upon providing proof of COVID-19 vaccination as per the
SJCG Immunization Policy IMS-04-005
or proof of valid medical exemption, prior to the offered effective date. If proof of vaccination or valid medical exemption is not provided, the offer of employment is rescinded.
