Job Description
NORTHBEAT INTERN
Bargaining Unit: Non-Union
Status: Full Time TEMPORARY
Department: Centre for Applied Health Reasearch (CAHR)
Shifts: Days (occasional weekend work will be required
)
Working closely with members of the St. Joseph's Care Group (SJCG) Centre for Applied Health Research (CAHR), the NorthBEAT Intern will be involved in various aspects of research, evaluation, resource development and stakeholder engagement pertaining to the NorthBEAT Collaborative, including: literature searches and reviews; data entry, analysis, and reporting; meeting scheduling, coordination, facilitation, and minute taking; supporting the development of educational materials and resources, including eLearning modules.
Qualifiications
:
Education/ Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, Education or other related discipline
- Experience in event planning, mental health, and/or youth engagement is an asset
- University or college graduate who has graduated within the last three years from an accredited college or university. The candidate must be a graduate of a post-secondary degree or diploma = program. The position will be a first full-time employment in the candidate's field of study.
Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent oral and written communications skills; excellent command of English language
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to converse comfortably with a wide range of stakeholders
- Self-directed with the ability to work independently as well as within a team
- Demonstrated ability to complete detail-oriented work
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule and travel to various work locations throughout the region
- Must be at an advanced level in keyboarding, word processing and spreadsheet software
- Experience with design software (e.g., Indesign, Adobe, photoshop) is an asset
- Experience with customer service an asset
- Fluency in oral and written French is an asset
