Job Description

DIAGNOSTIC MEDICAL SONOGRAPHER

Bargaining Unit: NON-UNION HCP
Status: Casual
Department: Outpatient Rehabilitative Care Services
Site: St. Joseph's Hospital
Shifts: Evenings

Reporting to the Manager of Outpatient Rehabilitative Care Services at St. Joseph's Care Group, the Diagnostic Medical Sonographer performs medical imaging procedures to aid in diagnosis or treatment within the regulatory standards of practice.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience:
- Registered with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Sonography Canada in general sonography
- Graduated from a recognized accredited program in general diagnostic medical sonography
- A minimum of 1 year experience and additional training in vascular studies will be given preference
- Vascular Credentials is considered an asset
- Registered member in good standing (or eligibility for membership) with the College of Medical Radiation Technologist of Ontario (CMRTO)

Skills/Abilities:
- Demonstrated ability to practice independently
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and team-building skills
- Demonstrated computer skills
- Demonstrated regular attendance at work
