Looking to build on your learning and basic nursing skills? Wanting to gain experience over the summer working as part of an interdisciplinary team and to provide care to residents of our long-term care homes for activities of daily living?



SJCG is offering temporary full and part time opportunities for nursing and practical nursing students who wish to work as Personal Support Workers before returning to school in September.



Interested? Here's what this opportunity is all about. For the student nurse, it's your opportunity to:

- Provide basic nursing care based on each resident's developed care plan and within the framework of an established nursing program
- Encourage and support resident participation in activities of daily living
- Document on charts and flow sheets
- Report changes in residents' physical and mental condition to the Registered Nurse and document as per policy



Skills & Experience:

You'll need to have completed, at a minimum, the first year of the practical nursing or nursing program at college or university and you'll need to continue to be enrolled in either of these programs. You will also need a Police Vulnerable Sector Check before you can get started.
