Status: Casual (3 POSITIONS)
Department: Medium & High Support Housing
Site: Commmunity Residences - St. Joseph's Health Centre
Shifts: Days/Nights including weekends (12 hour rotation)

The Community Support Assistant is responsible for providing supportive services to clients/tenants residing in the St. Joseph's Care Group medium and high support community residences. This position works in conjunction with the clients/tenants' treatment teams.



- Community Support Assistant Training Program or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Standard First Aid and Heartsaver Plus Certification


- Working knowledge of the Principles of Psychosocial Rehabilitation
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Sound judgment, good problem solving skills, solid interpersonal skills including tact, diplomacy and sensitivity to tenants and their family members and other service providers
- Able to work in a team environment
- Basic computer skills
- Demonstrated regular attendance at work


- Valid Class G Driver's License and adequate insurance
