Reporting to the Manager - North West Regional Seniors' Care Program and in alignment with North West Regional Seniors' Care (NWRSC) program goals, the Program Assistant supports the introduction of acute care providers from small regional hospitals across the North West to a NWRSC approach to care; develops and disseminates resources to support patients, families, and health service providers; and develops additional virtual support to small regional hospitals across the North West. This position is temporary until March 31, 2020.


- Degree or diploma in health, social services, or business administration
- Previous experience with event planning, program planning, and project management
- Demonstrated understanding of community capacity building
- Ability to communicate effectively and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, co-workers, and internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work in a team as well as independently
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines
- Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software

Conditions of Employment:

May be required to travel in and out of town
