Job Description

REGISTERED NURSE (21-R9)

Bargaining Unit: ONA-HOSPITAL
Status: Full Time
Department: Medically Complex Services
Site: St. Joseph's Hospital
Shifts: Days/Nights including weekends

Qualifications:

- Certificate of Registration with the Ontario College of Nurses
- Certificate in CPR (current)
- Demonstrated ability to work within designated complex care population is necessary
- Proficient with tracheotomies, central lines, subcutaneous lines, tube feeds & TPN's/challenging dressings/complex medical diagnosis
- Must have completed applicable training sessions on assisted ventilation (BIPAP, CPAP), peritoneal dialysis and AED, and/or be willing to train within first month of hire
- Comfortable with elderly clients, palliative clients and clients with complex respiratory diseases
- Good communication skills and strong team leadership skills
- Flexible
- Demonstrated regular attendance at work
