Maintenance Worker III - Multi-Skill Electrician (23-R887)
Bargaining Unit: IUOE- Hospital
Status: Full Time
Department: Plant Operations
Site: St. Joseph's Hospital
Shifts: Days (On-call rotation, may include calls on nights/weekends)
Rate of Pay: $36.89 per hour
The Maintenance III - Electrician is responsible for maintaining the supply of power throughout the assigned St. Joseph's Care Group sites working safely and in compliance with policies, procedures and applicable legislation.
Qualifications
:
Education/Experience:
- Completion of a four- to five-year apprenticeship program is usually required.
- Community College training in electricity, electronics, and / or bio-medical technology.
- Valid Journeyman's trade qualifications in the Province of Ontario.
- Related job experience.
Skills/Abilities:
- Proficient computer skills for accessing of information, updating preventative maintenance program and/or equipment troubleshooting
- Ability to communicate effectively and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Ability to think critically and identify risks
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Working knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Act
- Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Available for 'On Call' requests after normal working hours
Valid Ontario Driver's License
Will be required to travel to various work locations and provide own transportation
This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
