Job Description
MAINTENANCE I - MULTI-SKILL
Bargaining Unit: IUOE-HOSPITAL
Status: Part Time (0.5 FTE)
Department: Plant Operations
Sites: Varied
Shifts: Days (Monday to Friday - 8 am to 12 pm)
Rate of Pay: $27.70 per hour
*Will be required to work overtime hours when necessary
The Maintenance I - Multi Skill is responsible for maintaining grounds, installing, troubleshooting, moving and repairing, building components, property, equipment and fixtures throughout the St. Joseph's Care Group sites. Also included, are maintenance of various types of equipment that provide heat, light, power and other utility services for the buildings.
Qualifications:
- Secondary school education (Grade 10 or better)
- Related job experience
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to interpret and work from manuals/plans
- Proficient computer skills for accessing of information, updating preventative maintenance program and/or equipment troubleshooting
- Travel between sites will be required. Must provide own transportation
- Demonstrated regular attendance at work
CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT
This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
