Job Description

CONSULTING PHYSIATRIST - PHYSICAL REHABILITATION

Reporting to the Senior Medical Director - Physical Rehabilitation Services, the Consulting Physician provides consultation services to a defined Rehabilitation Program, within a program management model and will be responsible for sharing consultations with physicians currently active in this practice and for covering a portion of the inpatient beds associated with this program.

QUALIFICATIONS AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Experience:
- Registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario as a Physiatrist, and/or other appropriate educational qualifications
- Achieving appropriate appointment and maintaining privileges to the Medical Staff of Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre and St. Joseph's Care Group
- Minimum five years' clinical experience in Physiatry preferred
- Academic affiliation with the Northern Ontario School of Medicine (NOSM)

- Demonstrated leadership and problem solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and team-building skills
